What is a house clearance?

A Job Done house clearance is the easy way to get a storage unit, flat, house or an entire estate completely cleared.  Our professional & friendly clearance team will work efficiently & carefully to sort through & load everything in the house (unless we have been asked to leave it behind!).


How far it goes is really up to you; we can come in and remove all the bulky furniture, or we can empty every drawer & take away the curtains & light fittings.  If you've instructed us to take it, it will be cleared. 


It doesn't matter the condition of the house, or what's in it, we can get the Job Done.

What happens to the stuff?

We sort through absolutely everything to separate anything that is good for reuse or repair.  We never dump anything that could be of use to somebody; and you'd be surprised how much we can find homes for!


The rest is then sorted for recycling & taken to our carefully chosen waste transfer stations, where it is processed by purpose-built machinery to ensure as much as possible is diverted from landfill.


We absolutely never fly tip, and always look for new opportunities for re-use, repair or better recycling.

What can you take?

We can take pretty much anything.  In fact, it's easier to list what we CAN'T take:


  • Hazardous waste (incl. sharps & medical waste)
  • Weapons


We can take everything else.  Fridge? Yep.  Sofa? Yep.  Shed? Yep.  You get the idea.

If it is not possible to visit the property, we will ask you to send us pictures and a thorough list of what is to be cleared.  We can provide an estimate from this.


If you're happy with the quote, we'll get a date in the diary.  We're often able to complete clearances within a week.  Most house clearances take 1-2 days on site.
